January 25, 2005 over 4 and half years ago, Mr. Lee Jennie, an American visited the Philippines particularly in Mandaue City to look for a place where he can invest his little savings for Hawaiian Shaved Ice in a Sticks business. During his few months of stay, he began interacting with Special Children,which touches his heart. Right then and there, he volunteered to work for five months in one of the centers in the city and observed how the children, though incapacitated, develop their talents and skills and become a productive individual without inhibitions in life. Thus, Mr. Lee Jennie decided to open a center instead of the business and named the center after his son, Adam.Hence, ADAM JENNIE'S CHRISTIAN CENTER for SPECIAL CHILDREN Inc. was created.

Some Special Children are left alone unsupervised, unprotected and uncared by adults. It is sad to say that Special Children are disadvantaged and morally behind from normal children in the society. |
A Center-based facility that shall provide children with special needs a chance to live with dignity, self-worth, recognizing their rights and potentials to become productive citizens of the society. |
